Ivan Marino

Bariton

Born in Imperia, he began to study singing with the tenor Ottavio Garaventa and bass Paolo Montarsolo, then studied with the soprano G. Ostini and the tenor A. Elena.

Among the roles played to date include: Rigoletto (Rigoletto), La Traviata (Germont), Il Trovatore (Conte di Luna), Aida (Amonasro), Otello (Jago), Nabucco (Nabucco), Tosca (Scarpia), Madama Butterfly ( Sharpless), Carmen (Escamillo), Cavalleria Rusticana (Alfio), Pagliacci (Tonio and Silvio), Andrea Chénier (Gérard), Elisir D'Amore (Belcore), Attila (Ezio).

His repertoire includes, also, the following operas: Lucia di Lammermoor (Enrico Ashton), Il Tabarro (Michele), La Fanciulla del West (Jack Rance and Sonora), Simon Boccanegra (Simon Boccanegra and Paolo), Macbeth (Macbeth) .

He took part in numerous opera productions in important musical institutions: Maribor, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, Teatro Sociale in Rovigo, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Comunale in Bolzano, Teatro del Vittoriale in Gardone Riviera, the Central Theatre of Sanremo and the Opera Festival of Trentino Alto Adige, Teatro Alfieri, Teatro Sociale in Biella, Unstable Theatre of Aosta, Teatro Comunale di Pietra Ligure, Stresa Theatres, Teatro di Levico Spa, Festival of Varese Ligure, Alassio, Teatro Fraschini in Pavia, Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, Teatro Sociale of Como, Teatro Ponchielli of Cremona, Teatro Grande Brescia, Teatro dell'Opera Giocosa of Savona, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Seoul, Temporada Lirica of Alicante and Murcia, Tournèe in the United States, California, Iowa, Florida, Oklahoma, New York.

 

She sang, among others, under the direction of the coductors: R. Girolami, A. Radice, P. Gelmini, S.Giaroli, C.Palleschi, D.Renzetti, L. Marzagaglia, G. He has also worked with directors such as Hugo de Ana, Tomas Pilar, Alberto Paloscia, Michele Mirabella, Mark Line, Paolo Panizza, C.Panti Liberovici, P.Cassano, A.Cabassi, S.Monti, J.L.Grinda, L.Todarello, F.Ceresa, F.Zeffirelli, R.Bonajuto; L.M.Mucci, A.Bertolotti.

 

In 2014 he recorded with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte Carlo under the conduction of Maestro Luis Bacalov.  He then sang Traviata at the Maribor theater directed by Hugo de Ana and Madama Butterfly at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

In June 2015 he was Amonasro in Aida at the Teatro Plzen; he returns to Opera of Florence with Madama Butterfly (July 2015) and he performed the role of Paolo in Simon Boccanegra in the theaters of Pisa, Lucca and Livorno (October / November 2015).

In October 2015 she sang the role of Giorgio Germont in "La Traviata" at the Teatro Goldoni of Livorno and in November he made his debut in the role of Lord Enrico Ashton in Lucia di Lammermoor.

In January 2016 he took part in a tour in France, in the role of Iago in Otello (Verdi), with performances in Sète theaters, Cannes and Frejus, directed by M. Taddia directed by Paolo Panizza.

 

He plays an intense concert activity, in addition to the operatic repertoire of ancient and contemporary music, sacred music and oratorios, lieder, operettas and musicals, classical and chamber songs.
