Born in Mongolia in 1989, he studied singing with Prof. Tserenpil Eruu and graduated in lyrical singing at the Dance College of Mongolia in 2012; subsequently he graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in 2016. In the same academy he also obtained the Masters in 2018.

 

He is currently studying lyrical singing with the master Anatoly Gussev, professor at the "International Music School" of Milan, and is divided with the master Sergio La Stella, of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

 

 

 

 

Contests

Badral Chuluunbaatar is the winner of many international singing competitions, including:

First prize at the USSR People's Artist A.P.Ivanov's International opera singing competition, 2013; Second prize at the international contest USSR People's Artist N.Obuhovag, 2013; 2nd prize at the Elena Obraztsova International Singing Competition and special Marinsky Theater Award;

M.Glink International Competition: second prize, plus prize for the best interpretation of Ts.Rakhmaninov ", plus award for best baritone voice, 2014.

First prize at the 8th International Biblical Singing Competition Bibigul Tulegenova held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, 2016;

First overall prize and best male voice award at the International Opera Singing Competition Rimsky Korsakov in Sankt-Peterburg, Russia, 2016.

Third prize at the "2nd Angelo Loforese International Singing Competition 2017".

Finalist at the "Ottavio ziino" International Singing Competition, Rome, 2017. First prize at the "Sobinov International Singing Competition", in Russia, 2018.

First place (Golden Star) at the prestigious Chigiana Award, July 2018.

First place at the "Eva Marton" International Singing Competition in Budapest (week 2018)

 

 

In 2019 he will make his debut at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, as  cover of Saklovityi in the Khovanshchina of Mussorgsky and at the Arena di Verona, where he will play the roles of Amonasro in Aida and Germont in La Traviata throughout the summer season. Following he will be again Germont in Traviata at the Massimo of Palermo theatre and he will debut in the roles of Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana and Renato in Un Ballo in Maschera at the Petruzzelli theatre in Bari.
